Wedding Party Dilemna
Sorry it's been so long since I updated. I've had a bit of personal trouble.... As in, for all you gals out there, no Aunt FLO! For four weeks now. As in, yes, it's been eight weeks since I've had a visit.
And when my FH and I went and got a EPT, It campe up two pink lines. that was the first one, anyway. My FMIL found it and was surprisingly cool about it. MY FSIL had a COW. An absolute cow... She cried, called me a slut, him a Dumb ass... Said we ruined her life. Completely. If we were pregnant, we were ruining her life, because she would have to be the sister of the guy who knocked up his high school girlfriend.... OH MY GOD! I almost killed her. The bottom line is: I have two positive EPTs and two negs. I've got a doctor's appointment in two days. Sigh. I hope I haven't rambled on about this is... And I hope I haven't instilled a bad rep for myself as a slut, as my FSIL has told me.... Sigh.To me, it's a bit early to be making MANY decisions about a wedding, but still, there are a few big dilemnas that I have to work through. And it's not easy!
Dan and I have fought till we're blue in the face over the wedding budget. Not with each other, but with our parents. My dad wants to pay for it, as long as it does NOT go over $15,000. WHAT?
That's THREE TIMES as much as what *I* was considering! Then his mother comes in. First she said that it's NOT her place to pay for the wedding or anything in it, it's the bride's family. . I understand this. Totally. It makes sense. But then she started bitching to me and Daniel about how we need to "save money" by letting her Mom do the flowers (ew) and her sister make the cake.
THEN she proclaimed that she wants to be the 'host' of the wedding and put in $1,000 of her own money to be that host. Hello? So we decided to host it ourselves. We made a budget of $8,000 (secretly, though, my dad'll be paying about $6500 of that), and are planning on sticking with it.
